Intel ne “La tempesta” di Shakespeare
Intel supererà nuovi confini nell’arte teatrale dal vivo e omaggerrà il quattrocentesimo anniversario della morte di Shakespeare lavorando con la Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) e The Imaginarium Studios per una produzione de La tempesta reimmaginata con l’ausilio di tecniche digitali e la migliore tecnologia di computing. Intel, RSC e The Imaginarium Studios creeranno insieme una nuova esperienza spettatoriale plasmando un personaggio digitale – Ariel lo spirito dell’aria – sul palcoscenico, dal vivo.
La tecnologia di performance capture sviluppata da The Imaginarium Studios, solitamente impiegata per contenuti preregistrati come video giochi e film, è stata potenziata da Intel per permettere al personaggio digitale di interagire con gli altri attori in tempo reale dal vivo. Per ottenere un effetto di spontaneità adeguato alla rappresentazione teatrale, il personaggio è stato creato con 336 punti – il che equivale a ricreare ogni punto del corpo umano – ed è supportato da un PC con una memoria di 50 milioni più grande di quella di cui era dotato il computer che portò l’uomo sulla luna.
Intel, la RSC e The Imaginarium Studios hanno dedicato più di un anno di ricerca e collaborazione per offrire questo uso della tecnologia nel teatro tradizionale senza precedenti.
